I’m an erstwhile GP, and now a street and documentary photographer, living in East Hampshire in the UK.

My life as a doctor was scientific, logical and evidence-based and I’m embracing the creative freedom of expression that photography gives me. I’ve been interested in photographing people for as long as I can remember and I currently shoot an eclectic mix of documentary and street shots in both colour and black and white. I like my photographs to tell a story but also to have a good aesthetic. Humorous and serendipitous moments of human behaviour are the holy grail but these are few and far between! I shoot mainly in London, a quick train ride away but I’ve also been lucky enough to photograph in New Zealand, Australia, Havana and New York as well as in many European cities.

I was honoured to be awarded a gold medal from the London Salon of Photography in 2019 for my print “The Godbarber”. Since then, many of my images and prints have been accepted in Exhibitions in the UK and abroad.. I’ve had several images and articles published in magazines such as Amateur Photographer, The RPS Journal and Klick Magazine.

Although awards, plaudits and publications are a nice bonus, I enjoy the process of taking photographs more than the end result and I’m happiest when I’m out on the streets with camera in hand.
